Information We Receive from Facebook and Instagram

When you connect your Facebook or Instagram account to WriteRush, we may receive the following information, depending on the permissions you grant:

  • Facebook User ID
  • Public profile information (such as name and profile picture)

  • Facebook Page information, including Page name and Page ID
  • Page-related engagement data and access tokens

Facebook Permissions Requested:

  • pages_show_list – To display your Facebook Pages
  • pages_manage_posts – To publish content on your behalf
  • pages_read_engagement – To show post performance metrics

Instagram Data:

  • Instagram Business account ID and username
  • Instagram profile information
  • Media publishing permissions and access tokens
  • Instagram post and engagement data related to connected accounts

Instagram Permissions Requested:

  • instagram_basic – To access your Instagram Business account profile
  • instagram_content_publish – To publish content on your behalf

Instagram Requirements: To use Instagram features, you must have an Instagram Business or Creator account (personal accounts are not supported) connected to a Facebook Page.

How We Use Facebook and Instagram Data

We use Facebook and Instagram data only to provide the requested features, including:

  • Authenticating users via Facebook Login
  • Allowing users to select and connect Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts
  • Publishing, scheduling, and managing posts on connected Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts
  • Displaying post engagement and performance insights
  • Enabling comment management features, where applicable

All actions performed using Facebook and Instagram data are explicitly initiated by the user. We do not use Facebook or Instagram data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

  • Active Accounts: Facebook and Instagram data retained while your account is connected
  • Inactive Accounts: Data may be deleted after 2 years of inactivity (with 30-day notice)
  • After Deletion Request: All data permanently deleted within 7 business days

Data Deletion and Access Revocation

You may disconnect your Facebook and/or Instagram account from WriteRush at any time through the Social accounts tab in the social media module.

Users may also request deletion of their Facebook- and Instagram-related data by following the instructions provided on our Data Deletion page: https://writerush.ai/data-deletion

Upon request and verification, all Facebook- and Instagram-related data will be permanently deleted within 7 business days.

Important: Deleting your data from WriteRush does not remove content already published on Facebook or Instagram. To remove published posts, delete them directly from your Facebook Page or Instagram account.
