Website Visitors

Like most website operators, WriteRush collects non-personally identifying information typically made available by web browsers and servers, such as browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. WriteRush’s purpose in collecting this information is to better understand how visitors use its website. From time to time, WriteRush may release non-personally identifying information in aggregate, such as publishing a report on usage trends.

WriteRush also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged-in users and for users leaving comments on writerush.ai blog posts. WriteRush only discloses logged-in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to WriteRush’s website and services choose to interact with WriteRush in ways that require the collection of personally-identifying information. The type and amount of information collected depend on the nature of the interaction. For example, users signing up for WriteRush may be required to provide an email address and authorization to access their personal account.

Contact Forms

Information submitted through contact forms on our site is sent to our company email, hosted by Gmail. We retain these submissions for customer service purposes and do not share them with third parties.

Support

To help our support team debug product-related issues, we may request a license key, name, email address, website copy, or login details. Since this is your website, you are responsible for its data. We strongly encourage you to share a staging site and remove any personal information before sharing it with us.

Important Notes:

• Any access or site duplicates we receive are strictly used for debugging.
• We do not share this data with anyone outside our company.
• We are not responsible for any data loss. We recommend keeping backups before sharing access.

Purchases and Payment Information

We do not store credit card information. All payments are processed through secure payment gateways that adhere to PCI-DSS standards, ensuring the secure handling of payment data.

Additionally, when you make a purchase, we may collect certain information, including:

License Keys

To validate purchases and enable benefits like updates and support, we collect the website URL, name, and email address associated with license key activation.

Third-Party Services, AI Providers & Data Processing

WriteRush is an AI-powered content tool. To provide its AI generation features, the WriteRush plugin and service connect to the external services described below. We disclose them here so you understand what data is sent, when, and to whom. All transmissions use encrypted HTTPS, and data is only sent when you actively use the related feature. We never send your WordPress passwords, your site’s database contents, or other users’ personal data to these services.

Data You Submit for AI Generation

When you use an AI feature (for example, generating a topic, outline, title, draft, image, product copy, or social post; running keyword/SERP research; or training a brand voice), the WriteRush service receives and processes your license key, the prompts and settings you enter, and the source material you choose (such as the posts or files you select to train a brand voice). This data is used only to produce the output you request and to track your AI usage allowance.

Services We Connect To

1. WriteRush AI Service (back.writerush.ai). The only service the plugin contacts directly for AI work. It performs the processing on our servers and coordinates the providers below.

2. AI Providers. To generate text and images, the WriteRush service processes your submitted prompts using the following third-party AI providers. The plugin does not contact them directly, but your prompt data is processed by them under their own privacy policies:

• Google (Gemini) — https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Anthropic (Claude) — https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy

3. Search & Keyword Data. For SERP and keyword research, the WriteRush service retrieves search-engine results data from Google Ads API  based on the keyword you submit.

4. Unsplash (Stock Images). When you use a stock-image feature, the WriteRush service searches Unsplash, and your site then loads the selected images directly from Unsplash’s servers (images.unsplash.com). Standard request data, such as your IP address, is visible to Unsplash when it serves the images. Privacy Policy: https://unsplash.com/privacy.

6. Social Media Platforms (Facebook & Instagram). When you connect a social account and publish or schedule a post, WriteRush delivers your authorized content to the chosen platform. See the “Facebook & Instagram Integration Privacy Policy” section below for full details.

We may update or change the third-party providers above as our service evolves; this Policy will be updated accordingly.

Security

We take data security seriously and implement industry-standard measures to protect your information. However, no online transmission or storage system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links To External Sites

Our services may contain links to external websites that are not operated by us. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.

Marketing and Cookies

We use Google AdWords for remarketing to previous visitors of our website. This means we may display ads on Google or other websites based on past interactions with our site. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on user behavior. You can manage your ad preferences using Google Ad Preferences. (This remarketing applies to our website, writerush.ai, only — not to the WordPress plugin admin.)

We also use cookies to enhance your browsing experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some site features may not function properly without them.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

• To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
• To manage Your Account: to manage your registration as a user of the Service. As a registered user, you can access different functionalities of the Service based on the Personal Data you provide.
• For the performance of a contract: determining the terms, implementing the contract, and fulfilling the contract for the products, items, or services you have purchased.

Business Transactions

Facebook & Instagram Integration Privacy Policy

WriteRush provides Facebook and Instagram integrations that allow users to publish and manage content on Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts they own or are authorized to manage.

Information We Receive from Facebook and Instagram

When you connect your Facebook or Instagram account to WriteRush, we may receive the following information, depending on the permissions you grant:

Facebook Data:

• Facebook User ID
• Public profile information (such as name and profile picture)
• Email address
• Facebook Page information, including Page name and Page ID
• Page-related engagement data and access tokens

Facebook Permissions Requested:

• `pages_show_list` – To display your Facebook Pages
• `pages_manage_posts` – To publish content on your behalf
• `pages_read_engagement` – To show post performance metrics

Instagram Data:

• Instagram Business account ID and username
• Instagram profile information
• Media publishing permissions and access tokens
• Instagram post and engagement data related to connected accounts

Instagram Permissions Requested:

• `instagram_basic` – To access your Instagram Business account profile
• `instagram_content_publish` – To publish content on your behalf

**Instagram Requirements:**

To use Instagram features, you must have an Instagram Business or Creator account (personal accounts are not supported) connected to a Facebook Page.

How We Use Facebook and Instagram Data

We use Facebook and Instagram data only to provide the requested features, including:

• Authenticating users via Facebook Login
• Allowing users to select and connect Facebook Pages and Instagram Business accounts
• Publishing, scheduling, and managing posts on connected Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts
• Displaying post engagement and performance insights
• Enabling comment management features, where applicable

All actions performed using Facebook and Instagram data are explicitly initiated by the user. We do not use Facebook or Instagram data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.

Data Storage and Sharing

• We do not sell, rent, or share Facebook or Instagram data with third parties.
• Data is stored only for as long as necessary to provide the requested services (maximum 2 years for inactive accounts).
• Access tokens are stored securely using encryption and HTTPS/SSL.
• Access tokens are used only for authorized actions you initiate.

Data Security

We protect your Facebook and Instagram data using:

• Industry-standard encryption for access tokens
• HTTPS/SSL for all data transmission
• Secure storage with access controls
• Regular security audits and updates

Data Retention

• Active Accounts: Facebook and Instagram data retained while your account is connected.
• Inactive Accounts: Data may be deleted after 2 years of inactivity (with 30-day notice).
• After Deletion Request: All data permanently deleted within 7 business days.

Data Deletion and Access Revocation

You may disconnect your Facebook and/or Instagram account from WriteRush at any time through the Social accounts tab in the social media module.

Users may also request deletion of their Facebook- and Instagram-related data by following the instructions provided on our Data Deletion page: https://writerush.ai/data-deletion

Upon request and verification, all Facebook- and Instagram-related data will be permanently deleted within 7 business days.

Important:Deleting your data from WriteRush does not remove content already published on Facebook or Instagram. To remove published posts, delete them directly from your Facebook Page or Instagram account.
